North Wales Limestone Rock Climbing Guidebook

This is the definitive guidebook covering all the limestone sport and Trad rock climbing in North Wales. The area covered runs along the A55 coastal road from Benllech to The Devil's Gorge, near Mold, including the classic areas around Llandudno. Many of the areas covered have been re-equipped with stainless steel bolts turning unclimbed areas into new re-discovered venues. The climbing is vary varied from easy access sport routes to lots of good sea cliff crags hidden away in little out-of-the-way zawns and buttresses. These sea cliff crags are seriously atmospheric and require an adventurous spirit.

The guidebook details nearly 1,500 sport routes and over 500 Trad routes including the popular Great and Little Ormes near Llandudno (Upper and Lower Pen Trwyn), and the Trad venue of Craig y Forwyn. All the crags have detailed approach information and approach maps. There is also a graded list along with environmental information. All the routes are shown on colour photo topos along with detailed route descriptions.

Published in May 2023 (revised 2nd edition) all the profits from this guidebook are donated to the North Wales bolt fund to continue the re-equipping of this excellent and varied climbing area.  Each guidebook has unique code to download an App (iOS or Android) to the full guidebook that is free of charge.
