To the east of Cagliari (known as Sarrabus) is Sardinia’s largest bouldering area. This bouldering is on marvellous smooth granite rock and includes many good bouldering areas such as Geremeas and Rio Pilocca. There are many 100’s of problems across a wide range of grades, though there is great potential for developing many new problems. There are also a number of sport climbing areas in this area on both limestone and granite rock.

For the majority of the sport climbing routes a single 60m rope and up to 16 quickdraws will be sufficient. For those looking to climb the long multi-pitch routes, then dual ropes and full lead rack are advisable. Trad/Sport means the bolts on the routes are either very well-spaced or non-existent! It is advisable to bring friends and/or nuts for these routes.
The climate here makes it an excellent place to visit to go rock climbing from early autumn right through to late spring, and hence is a popular "winter sun" rock climbing holiday venue.
