Olbia rock climbing and La Cerra bouldering
The village of La Cerra is the best place to go bouldering in northern Sardinia. The bouldering at La Cerra is on excellent rough reddish granite rock of all shapes and sizes. There are over 200 documented problems in the La Cerra area across a wide range of grades from easy Fb 2’s to Fb 7b+. There are a few other rock climbing areas around Olbia that are generally single pitch sport routes on limestone rock, with the main crag being Siniscola, which has a good range of grades. Further north the rock turns to granite, where there is some bouldering at San Teodoro. At Capo Testa there is a mixture of sport routes and bouldering on beautifully naturally carved granite rock. Other significant bouldering areas include Parco Giochi near Arzachena and Luogosanto.
