Walking the South Downs Way National Trail long distance path

The South Downs Way National Trail path is 100 miles (160 km) long.

The South Downs Way National Trail route begins at the historic city of Winchester and goes along the crest of the chalk downs of Hampshire and Sussex.  At Alfriston the route splits on its way to Eastbourne, with the route along the white chalk cliffs through Dover being the most popular.  In between the route follows beautiful river valleys and passes plenty of pretty villages and friendly old pubs.
