Walking the London Outer Orbital Path (LOOP)

The London Outer Orbital Path is 150 miles (240km) long, and is sometimes referred to as the London LOOP.

The London Outer Orbital Path starts at Erith on the south bank of the River Thames, and finishes at Purfleet on the opposite north bank, and always staying within the M25.

The route goes through various parks, woods and fields around the edge of Outer London including some of the highest points in Greater London. The London Loop also follows waterside paths alongside the Grand Union Canal and London rivers such as the Colne, Crane, Cray, Darent and Ingrebourne.

The LOOP has been broken up into 24 shorter walks making it an ideal to be completed in several day walks.  The start and end section of each 24 individual waymarked sections are purposefully connected to the Transport For London (TFL) network, so getting to and from the locations is very easy.
