The Cotswold Way National Trail is 102.5 miles (164 km) long, and it follows the western edge of the Cotswold Hills.

The Cotswold Way National Trail long distance path starts at town of Chipping Campden and runs south through the Cotswold Hills to the historical city of Bath.  The route takes in numerous woodlands, farmland pastures and picturesque valleys.

The Cotswold Way National Trail route follows the western edge of the Cotswold Hills taking in numerous picturesque and quintessentially English villages and many famous historical sites.  These historical sites include Roman villas, Civil War battle sites, castles, abbeys, grand manor houses and magnificent churches.
