The climbing style is as diverse as the rock itself, ranging from face climbing on technical slabs, to powerful overhangs and roofs, and even some bouldering.

The largest crags are found at around the towns of Bellus (Aventador, L' Altet, Cova de la Petxina, and Barranc Fondo), Montesa (La Mola) and Gandia.

The L'Estret de les Aigues and la Costera Rock Climbing Guidebook is the only definitive guidebook, but this just covers the climbing around the towns of Xativa, Bellus, Montesa, Vallada and Moixent.  This guidebook has been published by local climbers, with the purpose of allocating resources into maintaining the current climbing routes, and broadening the potential climbing possibilities this area has to offer.

The Rockfax Costa Blanca Guidebook and the Roca Espana, Costa Blanca North Guidebook only describe selected routes and cover a much broader geographical area than shown on the above map.  The Rockfax Costa Blanca covers the climbing at Gandia and around the towns of Bellus and Montesa.  The Roca Espana, Costa Blanca North covers all the crags shown on the map above.
