Bouldering photographs at Fontainebleau in France

The photograph shows Rob Turner having just climbed the overhanging nose of the "Chien" boulder at Cul de Chien in the Trois Pignons area of Fontainebleau.

The photograph was taken by Alex Whitton.

Unfortunately this boulder has become very dangerous, due to the formation of a crack at the pedestal. The erosion commission has requested to avoid climbing on this boulder since the risk of it toppling over is very real.

This bouldering circuit at Canche is covered in various bouldering guidebooks that are available to buy from our shop.
