The Rock Climbing in Thailand and Laos primarily describes the limestone rock climbing, sport climbing, bouldering and deep water soloing (DWS) found around the popular holiday resort of Krabi in Southeast Thailand, including the famous Railay and Tonsai rock climbing areas.
The guidebook also covers the rock climbing found on islands of Phi Phi, Lao Liang, Yao Noi’, Samui, Pang Nang and Teo in Southern Thailand. 11 areas in Central and Northern Thailand are covered, including the Crazy Horse area near Chiang Mai, and Nam Pha Pa Yai Camp near Saraburi. Also included are Thakhek, Vang Vieng, anf Pha Tang in Laos
At the start of each main area is a location map, plus a description on how to get to each sector. All the routes are illustrated on topo’s with French grades used throughout. The number of bolts per route is given and symbols indicate how safe the bolting is.
