This guidebook describes the best rock climbing routes in Rock Rocks near Las Vegas in Nevada. The guidebook focuses mainly on the classic multi-pitch routes that are up to 15-pitches long, mostly in the 5.4 to 5.11 grade range (F4 to 6c). These steep moderate routes, cracks that eat protection, coupled with tightly bolted face pitches and bolted belays, many of the long routes at Red Rocks give you high adventure without the runouts so common in many areas. The guidebook also covers many shorter traditional routes and single pitch sport routes, along with previously unpublished routes to provide more options for avoiding the crowds.
Over 100 routes are described from 15-pitch traditional routes to single-pitch sport routes on the highest quality sandstone rock. The areas covered include, Oak Creek Canyon, Solar Slab Wall, Black Velvet Canyon, Windy Canyon, First Creek Canyon, Willow Springs, White Rock Spring, and Pine Creek. At the beginning of each section there is a good location map and approach details. All the routes are shown on detail topos along with route descriptions, strategy and descent information.
