This is the definitive guidebook for the rock climbing at Pfalz that is famous for its red sandstone towers and impressive cliffs. This area is situated between Stuttgart and the French border in Western Germany. The climbing is based around the towns of Annweiler, Hauenstein, Dahn, and Munchweiler.

The rock climbing at Pfalz is predominantly trad climbing using standard nuts and cams, unlike other sandstone areas in Germany and the Czech Republic. However most routes do have some fixed protection that are generally rings. The number of these rings varies widely on each route, and if there are no cracks then it is not always easy to place trad gear. The guidebook has a system for rating the protection on the routes, and is described as the following:
No E rating: Plenty of rings or easy to place protection
E1: Limited number of rings, slightly exposed,
E2: Few or no rings, protections not always easy to place, exposed.
E3: Badly or not protectable, exposed.

All the routes are shown on colour topos along with a brief description and UIAA grades. The topos also show how many rings are on the route, and if there are any abseil rings at the top of the route. The guidebook is split into 12 main areas that are split down into further sectors. For each main area there is a clear location map, and for each sector there are GPS co-ordinates, and a table showing the number of routes in each grade band.

Published in April 2019 this guidebook is in German text throughout but a large amount of information is conveyed by symbols and on the topos. Each guidebook has unique code to download an App to the full guidebook that is free of charge.
