Harz Block Guidebook

This is a comprehensive bouldering guidebook for the Harz region in northern Germany, located just to the southeast of Hanover.  The actual bouldering is situated close to the town of Goslar, and is a mixture of granite and sandstone rock.

The guidebook is split into 7 areas, these being Okertal (granite), Bad Harzburg (granite), Ottofelsen (granite), Langenstein (sandstone), Westerhausen (sandstone), Blankenburg (sandstone), and Bodenstein (sandstone) that are subsequently split into 32 sectors.  In total 2,499 boulder problems are described that are all shown on photo topos.  In additional there is a boulder map for each sector.  This area is great for intermediate climbers, with more than 2,000 boulder problems below Fb 6b.

For each sector there is a description of the style and aspect of the bouldering to be found, along with a table showing the grade range, access information plus a boulder map.

Published in 2020 (revised 4th edition with more than 500 extra problems), this guidebook is in German and English text throughout. Each guidebook has unique code to download an App to the full guidebook that is free of charge.  In the extensive information part, you will find suggestions for areas, guidelines, accommodation, history as well as tips for restaurants and rest days.
