Guia de Escalada Climbing Guidebook

This is the definitive rock climbing guidebook that covers the area around the cities of Leiria and Coimbra in central Portugal. The rock climbing areas covered include some of Portugal best climbing areas, which are Redinha, Poios, Reguengo do Fetal, and Buracas do Cagimil (Casmilo).

In total there 13 different crags are detailed, which are Penacova, Buracas do Casmilo, S. da Estrela (Redinha), Vale de Poios, Poio Velho (Poios), Fragas do Cercal (Figueiro dos Vinhos), Fragas de S. Simao (Figueiro dos Vinhos), Malhadouro (Reguengo do Fetal), Vale dos Ventos (Reguengo do Fetal), Acaria (Porto de Mos), Poio, Lapas (Tomar), and Pedrogao (Torres Novas).

At the start of each crag there is a good location map along with the GPS co-ordinates. There is a description of the climbing to be found along with information on the number of routes, grade range, maximum height of the routes, the best time of year to climb, and approach time. The guidebook covers over 700 routes that are mainly bolted, along with some traditional routes and bouldering problems. All the routes are shown on colour photo topos.
