This is a guidebook describing the Great Glen Way in Scotland. This long distance path starts at Fort William and then follows the Caledonian Canal which links the large lochs along the Great Glen to Inverness.
This guidebook splits the entire route into logical stages, with a summary of each stage showing distance, terrain and suitable available accommodation and refreshments. Also included is background information on heritage, geology, scenery and wildlife that is found along the Great Glen Way long distance path. Town plans of Fort William and Inverness are also included.
This 5th Edition of this guidebook was published by Rucksack Readers in August 2014, and includes the high route section opened in 2014. The guidebook includes many colour photographs and has a map of the entire route of the Great Glen Way in 5 drop-down panels (1:100,000 scale).
