This is the definitive guidebook describing the rock climbing and sport climbing to be found in Cuba. The climbing is based around the World Heritage Site of The Valle de Vinales where there are many overhanging limestone faces. The climbing involves cranking jugs, pockets and stalactites on improbable lines through stunning overhanging limestone rock. This combined with the easy accessibility has led it to be described as probably the best limestone sport climbing in the Caribbean.
The climbing is split into 6 areas and 27 different crags, all within easy reach of the town of Vinales. The guidebook describes over 250 sport routes (300 pitches) with the majority of the routes in the F6a to F7c grade range. At the start of each area is a location map, along with access information, and a general description of the type of climbing to be found. All the routes are shown on either colour photo topos or lines topos.
Published in 2009, this guidebook is in English text throughout and also includes many stunning action photographs.
