This guidebook describes the bouldering to be found in the Chamonix valley, and is the best definitive guidebook available for this area. In total over 1,000 problems are described including some circuits (Fontainebleau style) and countless isolated problems, across a wide range of grades.

19 different areas are covered on a variety of rock from; rough high mountain limestone at Le Col de la Colombiere; granite at Les Bossons and Le Lavancher; and gneiss at the excellent Medonnet area. These bouldering areas are at a variety of altitudes and some are sheltered in trees, which mean it is possible to boulder whatever the temperature as long as it is dry and free of snow.

All the problems are illustrated on a combination of colour photo topos and boulder maps, and given Fontainebleau grades. At the start of each area there is a good location map along with access information. Information is also given regarding the quality of the landings, beauty of the climbing and the approach times from the car.

Written and published in 2016 by local climber Emmanuel Ratouis, this is the 2nd edition of this guidebook, and is in French, German and English text throughout.

Number of pages is 222.
