This guidebook describes 60 walks (with many variations) on the Azores Islands, plus 5 car tours (on São Miguel, Terceira and Faial). The Azores consists of 9 volcanic islands situated in the Atlantic nearly 1,000 miles off the Portuguese coast. Located here is Portugal’s highest mountain, called Mount Pico, and is 2,351m high.

The 60 walks are spread across all 9 islands and are shown on a 1:50,000 scale map along with a detail description. There is a fold-out map showing the car tours, which also highlights the various walking areas.
