This is the definitive guidebook describing the sport climbing found within an hour’s driving of the Greek capital Athens. The guidebook covers 33 different crags and over 1,100 routes across a wide range of grades. These limestone crags provide a good variety of climbing, and the crag list at the start of the guidebook details the best season for each crag. Therefore by picking your crag carefully it is possible to climb around Athens all year round.
At the start of each crag there is detailed access information, access via public transport, the number of routes at each grade, crag orientation, and a general description of the climbing to be found. All the routes are shown on colour photo topos, complete with French grades, along with a detailed description.
Published in February 2014, this guidebook is in English text throughout, and includes many colour action photographs.
Number of pages is 272.
