Kapetaniana is Crete's main sports climbing area and is covered extensively in this guidebook. Kapetaniana is an isolated village away from the main tourist regions, and therefore offers remote and peaceful rock climbing. The rock climbing is on solid limestone rock and is mainly single pitch though there are some multi-pitch routes (up to 150m long).

The guidebook provides good location maps at the start of each crag. All the routes are shown on good clear photographs of the crag, topo style. Other information given is the number of bolts on the route, whether any traditional gear is required (very few routes), and route length.

The guidebook was published in 2006 and is in Greek, French, German and English text.
