Washington State is all about big wall multi-pitch rock routes, and is often described as the best alpine rock climbing area in the northwest region of the United States of America.
West Virginia has one of best and largest rock climbing areas in the United States at New River Gorge. This sandstone gorge provides a mixture of traditional and sport routes, with the climbing based around the town of Fayetteville
