The Rock ‘N’ Road guidebook is an atlas of North American rock climbing areas and is a fundamental reference guide to over 2,400 crags and locations. This book covers the rock climbing, sport climbing and bouldering found in 50 states of America, 7 states of Canada and some information about Mexico. The book splits the climbing down by each State. This useful book describes the different crags, number of routes, style of climbing, how to get there, where to stay, and general information about the area, though it doesn't describe any individual routes.
At the start of each state is a general description of the climbing to be found and a map with numbered climbing areas. Each climbing area is then described including a star rated from 1 to 5, the type of climbing, which grades are the most popular, height, rock type, the best time of the year to visit, and a list of recommended campsites. This guidebook is very useful if you are interested in visiting a country detailed in the book and are looking for good accurate and useful information or need help in deciding where to visit.
