Lario Rock Falesie is the definitive guidebook that covers all the sport climbing on crags and walls situated between Lecco and Como, including the Grigne massif. The mild weather, mitigated by Lake Como, the relative low altitude and the abundance of limestone walls make this area one of the most popular in northern Italy.
Concentrated around the town of Lecco on the shore of Lake Como, this guidebook details 99 separate crags and 1,000’s of routes at all grades. The majority of the routes are single pitch along though many bolted multi-pitch routes are also included.
At the start of each crag, is a location map plus further information regarding orientation of the crag and hence exposure to the sun, the condition of the bolts, the overall beauty of the crag, how good the parking is, how popular it is, and if it is child friendly. All the routes are described on clear colour topo’s with French grades used throughout.
Published in June 2011 this guidebook is in Italian and English text only, along with many excellent action colour photographs.
Number of pages is 486.
Size is 150mm x 210mm (A5 format).
Note this guidebook complements the Lario Rock Pareti that only concentrates on the long multi-pitch routes that involve trad gear.
