Description

This is a comprehensive guidebook covers the sport climbing and bouldering at L'Estret de les Aigues and la Costera near the towns of Xativa and Vallada. The climbing is located to the south of Valencia in eastern Spain, and is all on limestone rock.

The guidebook covers 13 different crags. The crags of Aventador, L'Altet, Cova de la Petxina, and Barranc Fondo are located just north of Bellus. The crags of Cova de las Coloms, and La Bola (bouldering) are located just south of Xativa. The crags of La Mola (sport climbing and bouldering), and Casa de las Frares are located near Montesa. The crags of La Fos, Paratge Ermites, Tierra de Nadie, Barranc de la Fos, and El Bosquet are located near Vallada.

All the routes and boulder problems are shown on good quality colour photo topos. At the start of each crag there is a location map and detailed access information. Symbols then indicate crag orientation, style of climbing, approach time, and if the routes are single or multi-pitch.

Published in December 2016 this guidebook is in English, Spanish and Valencian/Catalan text throughout. This guidebook has been created and published by the local climbing community, with the purpose of allocating resources into maintaining the current climbing routes, and broadening the potential climbing possibilities this area has to offer.
