This Rockfax Eastern Grit guidebook describes the best trad rock climbing on the eastern side of the Peak District near Sheffield.  This is home to some of the most iconic climbing locations in the England, including Stanage, Burbage, Millstone, Froggatt, Curbar, and Birchen.

In total the guidebook covers 26 crags ranging from Wharncliffe, north of Sheffield, to Shining Cliff, south of Matlock.  The full list of crags is as follows:

Wharncliffe, Agden Rocher, Rivelin, Dovestone Tor, Bamford, Stanage, Burbage North, Higgar Tor, Carl Wark, Burbage South, Over Owler Tor, Millstone, Lawrencefield, Yarncliffe, Froggatt, Curbar, Baslow, Gardom's, Birchen, Chatsworth, Robin Hood's Stride, Cratcliffe, Black Rocks, Turningstone Edge, Duke's Quarry, and Shining Cliff.

The guidebook covers over 4,000 selected routes, which have been re-photographed to provide the most comprehensive set of colour photo topos.  This includes superb crag overview photos plus excellent buttress photos of crags like Black Rocks, Cratcliffe, Curbar and Wharncliffe which have previously been much harder to photograph.  At the start of each crag there is a location map, and a good description giving a general overview of the crag and type of rock climbing to be found there.
