This is a comprehensive guidebook covering the main sport climbing areas in Norway.   In total there are 34 separate sport climbing areas, including the famous Hanshallaren crag. The guidebook details 1,000’s of routes with the majority of these routes being single pitch sport routes, though there are a few traditional routes and short multi-pitch routes as well. Symbols are used to indicate if traditional gear is required.  The range of routes covered is from Norwegian 5- to 9+ that equates to French 5a to 8c.  All the routes are given Norwegian grades though there is a good grade converter table at the start of the guidebook.

Many of these sport climbing areas are in the south of Norway between Oslo and Bergen, which are easily accessible from the rest of Europe.  The areas covered are close to the following towns and cities: Ostfold, Oslo, Oppland, Buskerud, Vestfold, Telemark, Agder, Hordaland, Sogn Og Fjordane, Romsdal, Trondelag, Bodo, Narvik, Troms, Finnmark, and Flatanger.

All the routes are shown on colour photo topos, with symbols indicating if the route is bolted or requires traditional gear. At the start of each crag there is a location map and access information.  Symbols indicate approach time, grade range, crag orientation, and style of climbing

Published in May 2021 this is the 4th edition of this guidebook and it includes around 200 more routes than the previous edition.  It is in English and Norwegian text throughout, along with many inspiring action photographs.
