This guidebook covers the alpine multi-pitch rock climbing in the Austrian Alps to the south of Salzburg and east of Kitzbuhel. All the routes described are in the UIAA alpine grade range of 6 to 10 (UK, HVS to E9; or French, 5 to 8b).
In total 1 main areas are covered and there are as follows: Chiemgaujer Alpen, Loferer und Leoganger Steinberge, Reiteralpe, Steinernes Meeer, Untersberg, Gollstock, Hochkonig, Tennengebirge, Hohe Tauern, Osterhorngruppe, and Gosaukamm – Dachstein.
At the start of each crag there is a detailed overview map, along with descriptions for the approach and descent. All the routes are shown on very detailed hand-drawn colour topos or colour photo-topos.
