Description

This is a comprehensive guidebook covering the bouldering at Albarracin and Bezas in Central Spain. The red sandstone at Albarracin has good friction, forming all types of shapes that are perfect for bouldering.  There is a great variety of bouldering to be found at Albarracin from slabs, technical moves, crimpy overhangs, and many roofs, some of which have large jugs.

This guidebook covers over 2,790 boulder problems in 22 different sectors at Albarracin, plus over 700 problems in 12 different sectors at Bezas.  There are problems across a wide range of grades from Fb3’s to Fb8c.

All the problems are shown on colour phot topos along with a short description.  At the start of each sector there is a short description describing the character of the bouldering to be found, access information and a location map. In addition, there are boulder maps for each sector, plus QR codes for selected boulders to help you navigate through the forest.  QR codes are also provided for each parking area.

Published in December 2025 this guidebook is in Spanish and English text throughout.  This is the updated 2nd edition of this guidebook that includes around 600 new problems than the previous edition.

There are many QR codes throughout the guidebook that link to videos showing how to do the problem.  At the start of the guidebook there is a variety of information about planning a visit to boulder at Albarracin.
