Cuenca Rock Climbing Guidebook – Cuenca Escalada Deportiva

The Cuenca Rock Climbing Guidebook is now available to buy from our shop.  There is a brief description of this guidebook.

This is the definitive guidebook describing the sport climbing to be found in Cuenca, which is located around 170km east of Madrid.  The climbing style is technical, powerful pocket climbing on sharp steep limestone rock, providing an exceptionally intense sport climbing experience. The majority of the routes are graded at F6b+ and above, and is the perfect place for those climbers operating in the F7a to F8c bracket.

For each area there is access and approach information with GPS co-ordinates for the parking areas.  Symbols indicate the style of climbing, and the orientation to the sun.  In Total there are over 600 routes (300+ of these at 7b and above), which are all single pitch with easy road side access.  All the routes are shown on photo topos, with French grades used throughout.
