Crag Climbs in Chamonix Guidebook

by Mark on August 3, 2015

The months of August and September are a great time to visit Chamonix to go rock climbing. As well as the high mountains there are many lower crags scattered along the Chamonix Valley that provide a mixture of bouldering, single pitch and multi-pitch routes. These crags are easily accessible at various altitudes from a few hundred metres to over 2,000m.32-August-Crag-Climbs-in-Chamonix-Guidebook

The Crag Climbs in Chamonix Guidebook describes 30 separate sport climbing areas, plus 4 bouldering areas in the Chamonix Valley. Included are crags from the village of Le Fayet in the west, along the valley past Chamonix and Argentiere, to the Swiss border. This is also one of a few guidebooks detailing the bouldering in this area and includes Les Bossons, and Le Col des Montets. All the routes are shown on a combination of colour photo topos and colour topos diagrams, along with a brief description.

This 8th edition of this excellent guidebook was published in July 2015, and the guidebook is in English text throughout.
