This is a comprehensive guidebook covering the French Side of the Pyrenees around the towns of Lourdes and Gavarnie. 15 different areas are covered and these are as follows: Col D’Ech, Lourdes, Pibeste, Ger, Arrens-Marsous, Larribet, Cauterets, Pont D’Espagne, Luz-Saint-Sauveur, Gedre, Heas-Troumouse, Gavarnie, Sarradets, Dets Coubous, and La Glere.
The guidebook covers in excess of a 1,000 routes that range from single pitch sport routes to long multi-pitch routes in the mountains, with many of these between 200m and 300m long. All the routes are shown on colour topo diagrams with additional information detailing the type and condition of bolts to be found. A small number of the routes require traditional gear and this is indicated where appropriate. At the start of each area there is a detailed location map and for each sector symbols indicate the style of climbing, when the crag is in the sun, approach time and the maximum height of the routes.
