This is the comprehensive guidebook to the limestone rock climbing area of Patones, which is located near the village of Torrelaguna to the north of Madrid. Here the style of climbing is all about steep single pitch sports routes with everything from pocketed vertical walls to huge roofs. In total there are around 800 routes, which are spread over 5 main crags (the largest being Ponton de la Oliva), with the majority of the routes in the F6a to F6c+ grade range. At the start of each crag there is a location map plus a series of good quality photographs showing all the different sectors of the crag.
