This is the definitive rock climbing guidebook for the Ogwen area of Snowdonia, which is to the south side of the A5 around the Tryfan and Cwn Idwal areas. For the first time also included are crags on the north side of the A4086 between Pen y Gwyrd and Capel Curig. These mountain areas provide something for everyone, from long traditional routes finishing near some of the highest summits in Wales, to short, very hard modern test pieces on smaller buttresses near the road. The guidebook covers lots of excellent and varied routes on a diverse selection on high and low-level crags, all set amongst the magnificent mountain scenery.
This is a modern guidebook with colour used throughout (similar to the Llanberis guidebook) including many action photographs. All the routes are shown on colour photo topos, with excellent double spread crag photographs of the main areas, such as Idwell Slabs and Glyder Fach main cliff.
Published in May 2010 this is a comprehensive guidebook that covers a wide range of routes at all grades.
