The Northern Limestone rock climbing guidebook describes the best traditional rock climbing and sports climbing found on the limestone crags of the Peak District, Yorkshire and southern Cumbria (near the Lake District).

In the Peaks, the guidebook covers over 1,600 selected routes at the following crags; Stoney Middleton, Horseshoe Quarry, Smalldale, Harpur Hill, Staden Quarry, Chee Dale, Raven Tor, Water-cum-Jolly, Ravensdale, Taddington, Rheinstor, Aldery Cliff, Wolfscote Dale, Thor's Cave, Beeston Tor, Dovedale, Harborough Rocks, Intake Quarry, Halldale Quarry, Pic Tor, High Tor, Wildcat, and Willersley.
In Yorkshire, the guidebook covers over 700 selected routes at the following crags; Troller' Gill, Loup Scar, Dib Scar, Kilnsey, Blue Scar, Yew Cogar, Malham, Gordale, Attermire, Giggleswick, Robin Proctor's, and Trow Gill.
In southern Cumbria, the guidebook covers over 150 selected routes at the following crags; Scout Scar, Millside Scar, Chapel Head Scar, Humphrey Head and Trowbarrow.

At the start of each crag there is a location map, and a good description giving a general overview of the crag and type of rock climbing to be found there. All the routes are illustrated on full colour photographs, topo style, with English grades, and lots of excellent action photographs.

Published by Rockfax in July 2004 this guidebook is now out of print and a re-publishing date is not yet known.
