Morocco Rock is the definitive traditional rock climbing guidebook covering the north side of Jebel el Kest and Taskra near Tafraoute in Morocco. This Anti-Atlas area of Morocco is a great winter sun rock destination from October through to April. It provides a wide range of traditional rock climbing from single pitch roadside crags to long multi-pitch big wall routes on superb, solid quartzite rock. This beautiful and rugged mountain terrain is surprisingly quick and easy to access; with many of the crags within a twenty minute walk from the road.
The guidebook is split into 6 distinct areas Tagzene, Samazar valley, Afantinzar valley, Ida Ougnidif, Sidi M’Zal, and the Tizi Escarpment; each with its own full colour map. In total the guidebook describes over 100 different crags and around 1,000 routes across a wide range of grades. All the routes are shown on clear colour photo topos complete with full route descriptions and English traditional grades.
Published in October 2012 this guidebook is in English text throughout and it also includes many stunning action photographs.
