This is a selective guidebook describing the best sport, mixed and trad routes in the Grampians National Park. The Grampians is Australia’s largest climbing area that offers a wide range of rock climbing across all grades on sandstone rock. The climbing in the Grampians is spread out over a large area with some of the crags in remote locations.
The guidebook is split into 8 main climbing areas and details 61 different crags. In total over 1,200 routes are described that includes both single pitch and multi-pitch routes. All the routes are shown on colour photo topos along with a detailed description.
At the start of each main climbing area there is a description of the style of climbing to be found, plus a location map and detailed access information. Then at the start of each crag GPS coordinates are given for the parking and the crag. Additional information such as approach time, orientation, and the spread of grades is also given. All the routes are colour coded to indicate if they are sport, mixed or traditional routes.
