Eastern Grit describes the best traditional rock climbing found on the Gritstone crags on the eastern side of the Peak District near Sheffield. This includes the popular gritstone crags at Wharncliffe, Agden Rocher, Rivelin, Dovestone Tor, Bamford, Stanage, Burbage North, Higgar Tor, Carl Wark, Burbage South, Over Owler Tor, Millstone, Lawrencefield, Yarncliffe, Froggatt, Curbar, Baslow, Gardom's, Birchen, Chatsworth, Robin Hood's Stride, Cratcliffe, Black Rocks, Turningstone Edge, Duke's Quarry, and Shining Cliff
In total the guidebook covers 26 crags (up from 19 in the 2nd edition) and over 4,000 selected routes. This is a massive increase from 2,900 routes from the 2nd edition. All the routes have been re-photographed and shown on full colour photographs, along with a description. Every page has been re-designed and all grades have been checked. At the start of each crag there is a location map, and a good description giving a general overview of the crag and type of rock climbing to be found there.
Published by Rockfax in April 2015 this guidebook is a fantastic upgrade of the popular 2006 publication (2nd edition), and is in English text throughout.
