The Calcare di Marca is a comprehensive guidebook describing the sport climbing found in the Marches region of Italy, which is a popular holiday destination. The climbing is located in the Umbria-Marches Apennines that are close to the towns of Ancona, Urbino, Pesaro, and Ascoli Piceno.
The guidebook covers 42 different crags including Furlo, Cingoli, Falcioni, Gola di Frasassi, Pioraco and San Giorgio amongst others. The climbing covered is mainly single pitch sport routes though there a few bolted multi-pitch routes up to 170m long. The climbing has a mixture of styles and there are routes for everyone across a wide range of grades.
At the start of each crag there is a location map, and symbols indicate altitude, the orientation of the crag, how popular it is, the quality of the bolting, and the general popularity of the crag. All routes are shown on clear colour topos with French grades used throughout.
