This guidebook covers the excellent rock climbing and sport climbing found in the Bourgogne (Burgundy) area in France. This region stretches from Auxerre in the north, to Diijon, Beaune and Macon in the south, and includes many granite, sandstone and limestone crags. This area is one of the main wine growing areas of France, which means it gets lots of sunshine and very little rain - ideal for rock climbing throughout the year!
This guidebook covers 46 different crags, which includes the 3 largest crags of Surgy, Saffres & Hauteroche. In total over 4,400 routes are detailed across a wide range of grades from F3a through to F9a. All the routes are shown on colour photo topos, along with French grades.
Published by Jingo Wobbly in March 2014 the guidebook is in French and English text throughout. This is the first guidebook in a series of 6 that will cover over 750 sport climbing areas in France.
