This guidebook covers the alpine multi-pitch rock climbing in the Austrian Alps to the south and east of Salzburg. All the routes described are in the UIAA alpine grade range of 3 to 7 (UK, VDiff to E2; or French, 3 to 6b). Areas covered include: Chiemgauer Alpen, Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge, Berchtesgadener Alpen, Hochkonig, Tennengebirge, Hohe Tauerm, Dachstein, and Salzkammergutberge.
At the start of each crag there is a detailed overview map, along with descriptions for the approach and descent. All the routes are shown on very detailed hand-drawn colour topos or colour photo-topos.
