Accommodation for Rock Climbers in Cala Gonone, Sardinia
The following apartments and villas in the Cala Gonone area are suitable for rock climbers, as they are available throughout the year. Cala Gonone has become a world class climbing area within the last few years. There are 18 crags within the immediate vicinity offering over 700 routes. The area is also ideal for other activities such as walking, diving, snorkelling and relaxing on idyllic beaches.
There are numerous accommodation options available with Cala Gonone. These range from camping (open Easter to September), bed & breakfast, self-catering apartments and villas to hotels.
Apartment Sacha, Cala Gonone
This recently built first floor flat sleeps up to 4 people and has stupendous views of the coast and mountains surrounding Cala Gonone.
The flat is situated in a quiet residential area overlooking the tourist port (Zona Gustui) in Cala Gonone and is close to the many restaurants and shops in the town.
The fully independent flat has 2 bedrooms, living-dining room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living veranda (sea and mountain view), TV, air conditioning, heating, stereo, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, and parking space.
Bed linen and towels are available upon request (10 Euros per person per week.) and animals (also large breeds) are welcome! Sandy beaches, rocky coves and sea caves are reachable on foot or by boat. This area is a favourite for rock climbers.
The flat is available all year round so please contact the owners directly to book. The owners speak Italian, English, Spanish and German.
In total there are 6 different apartments of different sizes, ranging from up to 2 people through up to 7 people. Due to the number of apartments this is a good base for a large group of climbers. All apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and terrace.

Villa Su Lidone, Oddoene
This Self-catering villa located in the beautiful valley of Oddoene, just 10 km from Dorgali and Cala Gonone. It is therefore ideal located for rock climbing and bouldering around Nuoro & Cala Gonone, Monte Oddeu, Gola di Goroppu, and Surtana. The villa is situated in a vineyard surrounded by olive groves, adjacent to the mountain river Flumineddu, where it is possible to swim and bath, depending on the level of water.
The villa sleeps 4 people, with one double-bed-room, and one twin-bed-room (two single beds). The facilities include a kitchen/living room, with a gas oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice box, microwave, sateilite TV, radio/CD, and fireplace. Also included is a Bathroom with shower, WC, and bidet. A washing machine is located in a separate room.
Outside there is a huge terrace facing south with sunbeds, chairs and table with fantastic views of Monte Oddeu, Surtana, and Gola di Goroppu. There is also ample space for car parking.
