Accommodation in Kalymnos for Rock Climbers
The majority of rock climbers who visit Kalymnos choose to stay either in the villages of Masouri, Armeos or Myrties, which are situated below many of the popular crags. These villages offer a wide range of accommodation from expensive hotels, budget hotels, self-catering apartments and villas, to Bed & Breakfast (B&B) style accommodation. It is recommended to book your accommodation in advance especially if you are visiting Kalymnos in either May or October. Note there is no unregulated "wild" camping allowed on the island.

The Elite apartment-Studios are located close to the main rock climbing areas in Kalymnos and are open all year round. The apartments are a family run business and they are located in a safe neighborhood, on a peaceful and relaxing side street of Elies.
At total there are 5 studios for 3 people and 1 further studio for 2 people. Each studio is fully equipped with large bathroom, complete kitchenette, cooking equipment, refrigerator, air conditioning, safety box, music, TV and access to free wireless Internet connection. Patio doors lead out to a balcony.
Within walking distance of the studios there are big supermarkets, mini markets, restaurants, café, motorbike and car rental, bus and taxi station.

Aegean Homes
Aegean Homes are built in the traditional Aegean style. Located in Masouri, Aegean Homes are, 500m from the famous climbing area of Kalymnos, 200m from local supermarkets and 50m far from the beach.
At Aegean Homes, there are two types of accommodation available.
Studio; can sleep up to 3 persons, TV, kitchenette, fridge, shower tub, A/C, direct telephone line and fantastic balcony or veranda overlooking the Aegean sea.
Apartment; can sleep up to 5 persons, one double bed (queen size), 3 separate single beds, TV, kitchenette, fridge, shower tub, A/C, direct telephone line and fantastic balcony or veranda overlooking the Aegean sea.
Plaza Hotel, Masouri
The Plaza Hotel is located in Masouri village, immediately below some of the best rock climbing areas in Kalymnos. The Hotel is within walking distance from all the restaurants, shops and nightlife in the village. This exclusive resort offers breathtaking views over Masouri beach, and the guests can enjoy the best sunset view of the island, looking over to the little island of Telendos!
The hotel is located right on the beach, an excellent combination for all kind of travelers, including climbers as some of the routes are within walking distance from the hotel. Last renovated in 2008, it consists of 59 standard rooms most of which have sea views, and 2 luxury rooms, which offer extra comfort. Kalydna Island Hotel, Panormos
The Kalydna Island Hotel is located in Panormos, just south of Myrties, and therefore ideally located for easy access to the main rock climbing areas.
The hotel is built in a traditional Aegean architectural style around a large swimming pool and beautiful gardens. In total there are 42 rooms and bungalows with spacious bathrooms, and all rooms include a fridge and satellite TV. There is a separate restaurant, a breakfast area, 2 bars, plus climbing and diving schools.
Stefanos' Climbing House
The Stefanos climbing house provides appartments that are located in Panormos area, next to Kantouni, and are very close to Monastery, Austrians and Saint Fotis climbing sectors. These areas are ideal for developing new routes and sectors, and we keep a book with all the latest routes on the island, in cooperation with the Municipal Athletic Organization. Our family run business will transport you to and from Kalymnos’ harbour whenever you arrive or leave. The harboor is 6 km from Stefanos' Climbing House. Once a week we serve free dinner.
Lambrinos Studios
These studios are located just outside of Masouri village, immediately below the Poets sector. This family run business is open all year round and has special prices for rock climbers.
All the studios have either 2 or 3 beds along with the following features:
- Private balcony with sea views
- Kitchenette with fridge
- Wi-Fi internet access
- Hot water
- Air conditioning and heating
All prices include a free pick up from either the harbour or the airport.
